"Would have been nice to know I was without insurance since September. This whole year I have dealt with continuous issues on billing(our account has been hacked a total of 3 times this year), and the only time I have figured it out was when having issues with our vehicles because I CALLED THEIR OFFICE. Signed up for email/text/call notifications in August. Didn't get done. Added on a vehicle that stays on our farm as well as my new car (in pictures). She (Donna) added the new vehicle, but not the farm vehicle. They sent insurance cards valid for September 20, 2024, to March 20, 2025. After that, nothing. November, they sent a paper in the mail saying we owed $10.71 on our motorcycle/sidebyside, paid that online, and SIGNED MYSELF UP for email/text/call notifications. December 5, a deer hit my car. Started to file a claim online, had issues, so I called the after-hours agent, and she said my car was showing INACTIVE. The communication from the office is a joke. We pay our bills. Of course, a hacked credit card will not, but of course, they didn't bother calling/texting/emailing anything. They say they sent a paper in the mail(didn't receive),which I said I would rather have electronic notifications that were never set up! This honestly is disappointing in so many ways. Communication is key, and this is an $8k to $10k mistake. Get a different receptionist/helper. She needs to retire. This is insane. I will be making a complaint to the BBB as this is a lack of keeping our information up to date, our family safe, communication with the customer, and knowing when you are the one who made the mistake as a whole. Typical insurance that doesn't want to admit when one of their own caused the problem."

"Was very high compared to other insurances and when I canceled it showed the bill still so I called and he was very unprofessional along with the receptionist."

"Steven , I hate that you feel that we were unprofessional. We cancelled your coverage to be effective 12/31 the day you made the request. As to the bill you are referring to you received it before you made the request to cancel your coverage. Unfortunately as many agents we represent the company and we don't control the price or when the bills are sent out. If you would like to discuss this please contact us."

"Super cool super informative and a person couldn't ask for a better agent. Revised 5-24-21 Still a good agent but the company he represents are crooks. Squatters destroyed my home and I pay for insurance to cover my to make me whole again and state farm refuses to do any of that. I pay them they take the money and I get nothing, exactly how it just worked out."

"Long post...Originally we went with SF because their rates were lower than Progressive on car ins. So we began house hunting for a while and found 2 houses. 1st house/double wide we were told that SF just couldn't fully cover it, our loan officer said otherwise we told our SF rep what our loan officer told us and they just couldn't get coverage, so we called around and sure enough someone else did but 1st house fell through in negotiations. At this point communications from our rep went cold, slow responses/non-responsive 2nd house a log cabin, Allstate just gave us a better bundle, so we went with them. So we try to contact SF to cancel our policy. We didn't hear from ANYONE for over a week I called my wife called, finally I got someone from a SF call center and the best they could do was to send a message to our rep. In fairness to Scott he was not our rep but someone else from his office, nevertheless I'm still giving this a one star for just an utter lack of professionalism and disregard for customer service."
